You so easily forget the chastisement of the right against the left: Un American, traitor, kill him, get him, unpatriotic.
You also forget that he had a better campaign, with more substance on his web site, his speeches and his public appearances, that could be read and understood and so far followed through on.
And he, more than his predecessor was elected with a mandate.
Even though you and Foud don't like his policies, most of us do. Most of us voted for him. Those of us who voted for him suffered plenty under Pres. Bush. Instead of yelling and threats, we resorted to organizing and it worked. Try it.
Protest is welcome. Diversity of views is welcome. My Senator is happy to have the townhallers. What none of us who have manners appreciates or welcomes is rudeness.
Another problem with libs is that they regard any form of disagreement as "yelling and threats" and "rudeness".
Obama may have been elected with a mandate, but he's crashing and burning. The man can't lead. America has figured out that the breadth of his skill set is (i) speaking with a teleprompter and (ii) demonizing the opposition. You speak of Bush. Bush had a HIGHER approval rating at this time in his second term...and this after one of the most highly contested and controversial elections in recent U.S. history.

Not when it comes to healthcare
In late June, Rasmussen reported that Americans supported reform by 50% to 44%. By mid-August, it was opposed by 53% to 42%.
polls schmolls. How many polls do you think the Dems side have cited? They mean nothing to me and hope that we aren't governed by them but by the principles by which our elected reps vote.
What I meant was that he was elected by a majority who wanted the things he campaigned on.
And yes, whether liberal or conservative, rude behavior at a townhall meeting to discuss a topic is rude. Sorry you momma didn't teach you that. I can't imagine if your mother was a Senator holding a townhall meeting and I came in yelling, that you would not think it rude.
My Democrat Senator welcomes all townhallers even if they are rude. The Republican Senator from my state holds "invitation only" townhall meetings. Who is more open to protest? Hmmm. I am not saying that ll Dems or all Repubs act in a monolithic way. Just in my State that is how it is going down.

What the *hell* are you talking about? To whom was I rude? What rude person do you think I am defending? I will say that of course people have been rude in townhalls (as if libs are the bastions of polite protests ROFL!), but that's nothing compared to politics 100, 200, 300 yrs. ago.
Several of your quoted posts have defended the town-"hollers" as legitimately voicing their concerns by disrupting meetings and yelling. Some of your posts (written by others) do not think it rude. You and those you have quoted, have mentioned in various ways that you and they thought Liberals were being unfair to not allow for opposition protests at town hall meetings or in their columns--being afraid to disagree now that Obama is president, yada yada yada.
Here's what you said: "Another problem with libs is that they regard any form of disagreement as "yelling and threats" and "rudeness".
From that, I thought you were endorsing rudeness. I was taught that one could disagree without being disagreeable.
The Liberals I know, welcome political discourse and disagreement, just not rudeness.
I'm glad you agree that it is rude behavior.
This is for certain: As bad as the people (not the right, but the people) have been over healthcare, the left is far worse. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nQalRPQ8stI
